Live photos of the unannounced Nokia T7-00 just surfaced in China. Apparently the Symbian^3 smartphone will be a slightly trimmed-down version of the Nokia N8 flagship, dropping the 12 megapixel shooter, but retaining the sleek aluminium unibody design.

At first glance the Nokia T7-00 looks identical to the N8 cameraphone champion, but upon closer inspection you see that the 12 megapixel camera is gone to be replaced by an 8 megapixel shooter. We are just hoping that Nokia didn't go for fixed-focus here as they did in most of their recent smartphone.

The leak also brought confirmation of some of the smartphone specifications. We've got the usual nHD (360x640 pixels) display (supposedly AMOLED) as well as the usual well-geared connectivity set - WLAN, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB and 3G (TD-SCDMA on the pictured unit and UMTS with HSDPA on the global version). Unfortunately the HDMI port has also been removed.

The ARM11 CPU inside the Nokia T7-00 is said to run at 700 MHz CPU. There should be also be a dedicated GPU with support for OpenGL 2.0 on board.
Strangely enough the sticker on the back of the says Nokia Nseries, rather than Tseries. This could mean that the T7-00 will be renamed to something else (N7 perhaps?) and join the Nseries instead of starting a new series. Or it could just be that Tseries stickers weren't available at the lab that created the prototype.
