Samsung Galaxy S has got abundant love from Developers who tried to adapt Gingerbread UI on Froyo but here’s a news for you. Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread ROM Official version leaked and available for download.
Not to my surprise, XDA Forum users (someone you can believe on) have tested this Gingerbread ROM for Galaxy S version XWJV1 and confirmed that its official leak. They say it includes Touchwiz 4 and Download Mode is still available.
Here are the Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread ROM for Galaxy S details:
Software version: 2.3.2
Baseband version: I9000XXJVE
Kernel-i9000xwjv1 :2.6.35.7-cl31216 root @ DELL101 # 2
Version Number: GINGERBREAD.XWJV1
This update is for Samsung Galaxy S and does not use ext4 filesystem.
Like, Samsung Galaxy S II which comes with Android 2.3.2 out of box, you can have Gingerbread ROM for Galaxy S.
To Flash, Upload ROM with the selected ODIN Re-Partition and PIT 512 or 803.
Though, even I didn’t dare to try out this ROM and not recommend to anyone but if you are super curious to test out then Download it and flash yourself.
