T-Mobile US Sidekick 4G revealed, Samsung gave it birth

The Sidekick 4G is Samsung's first addition to the T-Mobile's Sidekick lineup. It's powered by the same hardware as the original Galaxy S, runs on Android v2.2 Froyo and packs the familiar five-row QWERTY keyboard.

It seems Samsung has replaced Danger in manufacturing the Sidekick lineup. The latest member - the Sidekick 4G - packs a 3.5-inch capacitive WVGA display, 3 megapixel camera plus a front VGA one for video-calls and all-round connectivity options including support for T-Mobile's 4G network.

The Sidekick 4G

The Froyo-powered Sidekick 4G is based on the same hardware as the first-gen Galaxy S - the Hummingbird chipset with a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and PowerVR SGX540 graphics. There is no info on the RAM and the internal storage yet.

The Sidekick 4G fella will hit the T-Mobile US network in the upcoming months in two colors - matte black and pearl magenta. You can check the carrier's website for more information and register for news.
