Lenovo enter the mobile market with a big bang. They have come out with mind boggling Android smartphone, known as LePhone. It is a combined package of style and functionality. The LePhone features an optional external QWERTY keyboard that you can attach with this phone, this is the most stylish thing that I noticed in the phone.
Hardware and Operating system
The LePhone has a Snapdragon 1GHz Processor, a 3.7 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with WVGA resolution, 3.5mm headphone jack, an attached with 3 mega pixels camera on both the front and back, A-GPS, WiFi , removable battery and a proprietary 9-pin dock connector. The LePhone supports 3G connectivity, but it is unclear if the LePhone will be CDMA or GSM oriented device. This phone’s size is 60mm wide and only 12mm thin which is astonishing. It was launched with the Android 1.6 OS in CES 2010. It is expected to be launched with the Android 2.1 OS in China.
Software
User Interface is based around social networking, threaded conversations, widgets, and cloud services. No further details are available with us. As for now the Android 2.1 OS has a great potential and we can expect a lot of softwares that will be released on this platform.
Release
The LePhone has targeted at budding the Chinese market first. So this phone is expected to be launched in China during the first half of this year. Later depending on the market responses we might get to see the phone in the second half of this year.
